Visitor Contraband Interdiction | May 27 – June 3, 2019

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to immediate termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On June 1, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of narcotics. Law enforcement was notified.

Hamilton Annex: On June 2, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of a battery charger. The visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband.

Jefferson Correctional Institution: On May 27, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of contraband tobacco. The visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband.

Lowell Correctional Institution: On June 1, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of contraband tobacco. The visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband.

Wakulla Annex: On May 18, K9 staff alerted on a vehicle. Staff subsequently discovered marijuana. The visitor was issued a notice to appear for possession.
