FDC Assault Advisories | July 3 - August 3, 2020

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Polk Correctional Institution: On July 3, Inmate Yvon Augustin (H15995) assaulted an officer by throwing a food tray at them and striking them in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On July 4, Inmate David Cope (139055) assaulted an officer by striking them on the shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued

Lake Correctional Institution: On July 4, Inmate Yoalbe Alvaro (M74911) assaulted an officer by striking them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On July 5, Inmate Vernon Polk (P29601) assaulted an officer by throwing food trays at them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On July 6, Inmate John Behling (K63766) assaulted an officer by striking them in the back of the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Annex: On July 7, Inmate Bruce Williams (U48770) assaulted three officers by kicking and striking them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Reception and Medical Center: On July 8, Inmate Reginald Hayes (854132) assaulted an officer by kicking them in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On July 10, Inmate Timothy Blain (B30539) assaulted an officer by elbowing them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On July 10, Inmate David Mordecai (C70551) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On July 10, Inmate Donald Jenneve (R32164) assaulted an officer by kicking them in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On July 11, Inmate David Mordecai (C70551) assaulted an officer by kicking them in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On July 12, Inmate Demorris Hogg (126480) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lake Correctional Institution: On July 12, Inmate Danny Williams (448646) assaulted an officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On July 12, Inmate Delance Crockett (T62116) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Dade Correctional Institution: On July 14, Inmate Andrew Schrank (E15954) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On July 14, Inmate Joshua Davison (P37817) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On July 15, Inmate Nicolas Vasquez (H52154) assaulted an officer by throwing a food tray and striking them in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Annex: On July 18, Inmate James Battle (W55181) assaulted officers by kicking and headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On July 12, Inmate Willie Pennick (N03979) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On July 18, Inmate Amanda Miller (Q27816) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Taylor Annex: On July 18, Inmate William Mortimer (W37019) assaulted an officer by striking them on the shoulder with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On July 18, Inmate Laquann Bridges (T68637) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On July 21, Inmate David Mordecai (C70551) assaulted two officers by headbutting and biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On July 23, Inmate Jonathan Gonzalez (X42251) assaulted an officer by grabbing their forearm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On July 24, Inmate Shiaquille Register (X86815) assaulted an officer by striking them in the hip with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On July 25, Inmate Ernest Gordon (U30850) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On July 25, Inmate Kirstin Sconiers (X42709) assaulted an officer by striking them with a fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

New River Correctional Institution: On July 28, Inmate William Melendez (C06049) assaulted an officer by grabbing their throat. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Florida State Prison: On July 28, Inmate Travis Ware (J41730) assaulted an officer by kicking and headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Work Camp: On July 28, Inmate Anthony Hightower (Q09666) assaulted an officer by punching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hamilton Annex: On July 28, Inmate Joshua Neipert (S32932) assaulted two officers by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On July 30, Inmate Jeremiah Lumsden (U42995) assaulted two officers by kicking and biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On July 30, Inmate Anthony Rose (C06011) assaulted an officer by striking them in the chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

New River Work Camp: On July 30, Inmate Kevin Chew (M94440) assaulted an officer by striking them on the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On July 30, Inmate Juan Savon (J23460) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face and choking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On July 30, Inmate Walter Greene (J25909) assaulted an officer by cutting them with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On August 2, Inmate David Young (C03467) assaulted an officer by throwing a food tray on them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
