FDC Assault Advisories | January 12 – January 18, 2021

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Wakulla Annex: On January 12, Inmate Edward Robinson (065754) assaulted an officer by punching them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Tomoka Work Camp: On January 13, Inmate Robert Britton (C04630) assaulted two officers by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Tomoka Correctional Institution: January 14, Inmate Darrell Telisme (B15761) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On January 16, Inmate Deon Thomas (964150) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Wakulla Annex: On January 16, Inmate Rico Wright (H05716) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Mayo Annex: On January 17, Inmate Nathan Diaz (D25981) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
