FDC Assault Advisories | March 9 – March 15, 2021
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On March 9, Inmate Brian Hughes (J57235) assaulted an officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On March 10, Inmate Van Robinson (X25237) assaulted an officer by striking them in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Hardee Correctional Institution: On March 10, Inmate Leroy Gresham (374016) assaulted a staff member by punching them in the shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Lake Correctional Institution: On March 15, Inmate Eddie Wright (L84828) assaulted an officer by punching them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
