FDC Assault Advisories | May 25 – May 31, 2021
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Florida State Prison: On May 25, Inmate Pathoni Barrett (B08822) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Cross City Correctional Institution: On May 25, Inmate Mark Morgan (122200) assaulted an officer by punching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 25, Inmate Montrell Johnson (C03703) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face and chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Florida Women’s Reception Center: On May 26, Inmate Matesha Williams (T91155) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Florida State Prison: On May 27, Inmate Eduardo Vargas (L61184) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Lake City Correctional Institution: On May 27, Inmate Javon McClain (I60828) assaulted an officer by striking them with a food tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Florida State Prison: On May 27, Inmate Marcus Twine (J59806) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 28, Inmate Jerryson Jetin (X94735) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Gulf Correctional Institution: On May 31, Inmate David Hankins (B08983) assaulted multiple officers by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
