FDC Assault Advisories | March 15 – March 21, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Hamilton Annex: On March 15, Inmate Kervins Bonhuer (B14495) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Central Florida Reception Center: On March 15, Inmate Johnny Williams (I21403) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On March 15, Inmate Cory Griffin (N02980) assaulted an officer by striking them in the upper torso and face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

South Bay Correctional Facility: On March 16, Inmate Gregory Deveaux (Y90679) assaulted an officer by biting their right forearm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On March 16, Inmate Clifton Baxter (N03759) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On March 16, Inmate Adrian Williams (126077) assaulted an officer by striking their cheek with a fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On March 17, Inmate Alfred Hall (M86618) assaulted an officer by biting their finger. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On March 17, Inmate Mauricio Rivas-Penailillo (B14924) assaulted an officer by biting their finger. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On March 19, Inmate Odell Lee (K79438) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On March 19, Inmate Antonio Thomas (H16333) assaulted an officer by attempting to stab them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Graceville Correctional Facility: On March 20, Inmate Robert Davis (652400) assaulted an officer by striking them in the chest with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Century Correctional Institution: On March 20, Inmate Joshua Christian (T47601) assaulted officers by striking them with a closed fist and kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Taylor Correctional Institution: On March 21, Inmate Antyone Gibbons (I14721) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Quincy Annex: On March 21, Inmate Devon Armstead (I20484) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution:On March 21, Inmate Emerson Ware (S05211) assaulted officers by striking them on their head multiple times with closed fists. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.
