FDC Assault Advisories | January 25 – January 31, 2023
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Martin Correctional Institution: On January 25, Inmate Tre Jackson (K88019) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On January 25, Inmate Keith Davis (H51307) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Jackson Correctional Institution: On January 25, Inmate Joseph Hester (Q09757) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Florida State Prison: On January 26, Inmate Gabriel Rene (X95811) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On January 26, Inmate Shane Rawlins (C02562) assaulted officers by striking them in face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Walton Correctional Institution: On January 26, Inmate Michael Perry (K80595) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Northwest Florida Reception Center: On January 26, Inmate Ryan Wilson (P91122) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On January 26, Inmate Terrell Smith (R76301) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Desoto Annex: On January 26, Inmate Earl Edwards (Y70609) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Apalachee Correctional Institution: On January 27, Inmate Curtis Jacobs (M36029) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Central Florida Reception Center: On January 27, Inmate Johnny Everett (428538) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Polk Correctional Institution: On January 27, Inmate Ronald Florand (I14414) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Century Correctional Institution: On January 27, Inmate Marquis Nelson (J46806) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Hardee Correctional Institution: On January 29, Inmate Lee Black (T50647) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Northwest Florida Reception Center: On January 30, Inmate Leonard Capell (207146) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Union Correctional Institution: On January 30, Inmate Steven Sellers (121960) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Avon Park Work Camp: On January 30, Inmate John Black (W44363) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Wakulla Annex: On January 31, Inmate Matthew Castro (W80426) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On January 31, Inmate Joseph Muse (B04564) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Martin Correctional Institution: On January 31, Inmate Johnathan Daniels (J46732) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Medical staff recommended the officer receive outside medical treatment.
Desoto Annex: On January 31, Inmate Johnathan Daniels (J46732) assaulted an officer by biting and striking them in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Medical staff recommended the officer receive outside medical treatment.
Central Florida Reception Center: On January 30, Inmate Francisco Williams (J30232) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
