FDC Assault Advisories | February 1 – 7, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.


Desoto Annex: On February 1, Inmate Francisco Williams (J30232) assaulted an officer by biting and striking them in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Medical staff recommended the officer receive outside medical treatment.

Central Florida Reception Center: On February 1, Inmate Dennis Nino (X59185) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On February 2, Inmate Justin Cartier (W41839) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On February 3, Inmate Julius Knott (P17566) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception and Medical Center: On February 3, Inmate Corey Graham (C06730) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 3, Inmate Paul Echols (T15914) assaulted an officer by throwing bodily fluids on them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Medical staff recommended the officer receive outside medical treatment.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On February 4, Inmate Corey Young (391796) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lancaster Correctional Institution: On February 4, Inmate Elvis Masinovic (129382) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 4, Inmate Paul Echols (T15914) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Polk Correctional Institution: On February 4, Inmate Trevor Jackson (T86699) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On February 5, Inmate Fred Delva (S19454) assaulted an officer by shoving them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Medical staff recommended the officer receive outside medical treatment.

Century Correctional Institution: On February 5, Inmate Hunter Giles (Q40350) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Martin Correctional Institution: On February 5, Inmate Jeremiah Adams (133738) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Annex: On February 6, Inmate Sergio Castro (V36577) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On February 5, Inmate Alex Henson (010790) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On February 6, Inmate Edward Brown (M57932) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On February 7, Inmate Cleveland Watson (B12113) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On February 7, Inmate Shermon Allen (T07183) assaulted officers by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
