FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | February 22 – 28, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Mayo Correctional Institution Annex: On February 22, Inmate Wadson Sagaille (M74663) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On February 22, Inmate Travis Scott (M55814) assaulted an officer by biting their hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical for evaluation and treatment.

Florida Women Reception Center: On February 23, Inmate Jamie Jones (J58520) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Polk Correctional Institution: On February 23, Inmate Bryan McClean (T56040) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution Annex: On February 24, Inmate Tyreese Faust (N06530) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Liberty Correctional Institution: On February 24, Inmate Logan Fairbanks (G40172) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On February 25, Inmate Todd Warthen (I11370) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 25, Inmate Patrick Armand (J32652) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On February 25, Inmate Yahaziel Israel (E41269) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On February 26, Inmate Benjamin Andino (R93866) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On February 26, Inmate Gene Ramirez (193360) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Annex: On February 26, Inmate Marci Perry (U47713) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 26, Inmate Jakob Hunt (C50789) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Liberty Correctional Institution: On February 27, Inmate Jarnell Coverson (C09669) assaulted an officer by striking them in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On February 27, Inmate Darron Grooms (T40044) assaulted officers by beating them with a broomstick. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Staff was sent to outside medical for evaluation and treatment.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On February 28, Inmate Evan Owens (T94561) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On February 28, Inmate Erick Lluis (D23042) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On February 28, Inmate Eric Villalobos (J35152) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
