FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | May 31 - June 6, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On May 31, Inmate Gabriel Bowen (U54461) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Walton Correctional Institution: On May 31, Inmate Leonardo Simpkins (U36009) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On May 31, Inmate Jonathan Nibbelink (149380) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On May 31, Inmate Brandon Sheppard (E71176) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On May 31, Inmate Kevin Holder (T50648) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Liberty Correctional Institution: On June 1, Inmate Allen Glover (G31568) assaulted an officer by biting their finger. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officer was sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On June 1, Inmate Diamonte Weatherspoon (C06689) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On June 1, Inmate Marcus West (W40471) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On June 1, Inmate Shelton Green (L49004) assaulted the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Liberty Correctional Institution: On June 1, Inmate Oraine Mitchellgrant (S61552) assaulted officers by striking them in multiple area. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officers were sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On June 1, Inmate Regan Thomas (A51464) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Homestead Correctional Institution: On June 1, Inmate Jahmecca Jarvis (E49987) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Annex: On June 2, Inmate Marion South (463943) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On June 2, Inmate Reshawn Roberts (135884) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On June 2, Inmate Marquis Heard (X74711) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On June 2, Inmate Jumaane Drummond (T42023) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Homestead Correctional Institution: On June 2, Inmate Jahmecca Jarvis (E49987) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On June 2, Inmate Richard Hayes (J23838) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On June 2, Inmate Dallas Andrews (J05853) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On June 3, Inmate Allen Glover (G31568) assaulted officers by striking them in multiple area. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officer was sent to receive outside medical treatment. The officers were sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Florida Women Reception Center: On June 3, Inmate Mia Williams (Q41073) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On June 3, Inmate Jason Spivey (V32818) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On June 3, Inmate Lamont Wilson (891318) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception & Medical Center: On June 4, Inmate Jonathan Hersh (J30838) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lake Correctional Institution: On June 4, Inmate Nicholas Keefer (N40445) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

DeSoto Annex: On June 4, Inmate Kyle Smith (B13942) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lancaster Correctional Institution: On June 5, Inmate Shavon Chee (C01046) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Homestead Correctional Institution: On June 5, Inmate Veronica Elder (T71625) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On June 6, Inmate Jerell Marshall (H71330) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On June 6, Inmate Keith Nickels (361217) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On June 6, Inmate Michael Pinacle (B15137) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Dade Correctional Institution: On June 6, Inmate John Machleid (M71411) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lancaster Correctional Institution: On June 6, Inmate Nehemiah Ford (W80771) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On June 6, Inmate Jerry Williams (G08554) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On June 6, Inmate Adarius Harris (G20499) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On June 6, Inmate Ja Vonta Ford (G80575) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
