FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | July 12 - July 18, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On July 12, Inmate Victor Zayas (X80168) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On July 12, Inmate Kwamane Silas (D56709) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On July 12, Inmate Kyle Pierre (M58520) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hamilton Annex: On July 12, Inmate Brenson Stephens (I20292) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On July 12, Inmate Aubrey Mathis (G20701) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Apalachee East : On July 12, Inmate Lorenzo Sanchez (L58882) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On July 13, Inmate Jesse Guy (T47962) assaulted an officer by pulling on them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. The officer sustained injury.

Central Florida Reception Center: On July 13, Inmate Julien Guevara (B30809) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On July 13, Inmate Daniel Val (I43610) assaulted an officer by spitting in their face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officer was sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Baker Re-Entry Center: On July 13, Inmate Terrence Wilson (J48901) assaulted an officer by spraying a substance in their face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On July 14, Inmate Cory Anderson (W39115) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On July 14, Inmate Ronald Bucknor (L37153) assaulted officers by striking them in multiple areas. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officers were sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Lowell Annex: On July 15, Inmate Jasmine Whitaker (G91444) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On July 15, Inmate Richard Frazier (898450) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On July 15, Inmate Meldrick Holland (T84048) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lowell Annex: On July 15, Inmate Jasmine Whitaker (G91444) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On July 16, Inmate Eric Brown (T76315) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Mayo Correctional Institution Annex: On July 16, Inmate Elijah Barbary (J20601) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On July 16, Inmate Jevon Ward (149271) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On July 17, Inmate Roy Mason (186808) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On July 17, Inmate Jesse Thorn (C00634) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On July 18, Inmate Angel Roberts (K88587) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On July 18, Inmate Jermaine Jackson (K81670) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Dade Correctional Institution: On July 18, Inmate Jermaine Miller (L36565) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
