FDC Assault Advisories | August 2 - August 8, 2023
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On August 2, Inmate Trevon Brown (X89326) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Gulf Correctional Institution: On August 2, Inmate Tony Brinson (149255) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Walton Correctional Institution: On August 2, Inmate Antwan Daniels (P45433) assaulted officers by striking them in multiple areas. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.
South Florida Reception Center: On August 2, Inmate Decius Jules (C06404) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
DeSoto Annex: On August 2, Inmate Mark Jennings (286759) and Michael Denlinger (K59794) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Lake Correctional Institution: On August 2, Inmate Steven Nunnery (G50620) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Apalachee East: On August 2, Inmate Deandre Bailey (P49924) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On August 3, Inmate Marcus Miller (T82336) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On August 3, Inmate Samuel Higgins (U14665) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Mayo Annex: On August 4, Inmate Nathan Taylor (D33846) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Walton Correctional Institution: On August 5, Inmate Christopher Dixon (C00615) assaulted an officer by striking them in multiple areas. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.
Hardee Correctional Institution: On August 5, Inmate Antonio Lamar (133242) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Century Correctional Institution: On August 5, Inmate Jack Holt (947345) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Northwest Florida Reception Center: On August 5, Inmate Jerry Gallion (J09634) assaulted an officer by throwing them on the floor. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.
Sumter Correctional Institution: On August 5, Inmate Bryce Hill (U48581) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
South Florida Reception Center: On August 6, Inmate Marvin Jackson (C90025) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On August 6, Inmate Javari Stovall (K90440) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Wakulla Annex: On August 6, Inmate Paul Barton (M96656) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Cross City Workcamp: On August 6, Inmate Juan Barrera (T42560) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On August 7, Inmate Paul Echols (T15914) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Taylor Correctional Institution: On August 7, Inmate Leonardo Moreno-Gonzalez (B09859) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Central Florida Reception Center: On August 7, Inmate Jerry Gallion (J09634) assaulted an officer by grabbing their arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.
Avon Park Correctional Institution: On August 7, Inmate Don Lane (T27908) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Taylor Correctional Institution: On August 7, Inmate Joseph Walker (W43507) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Suwannee Annex: On August 7, Inmate James Brown (B09090) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Hamilton Annex: On August 8, Inmate Ismael Ali (A91557) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Walton Correctional Institution: On August 8, Inmate Janiel Perez (B09813) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Century Correctional Institution: On August 8, Inmate Charles Daniels (J71670) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On August 8, Inmate Joseph Murray (J08069) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
