FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | August 16 - August 22, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On August 16, Inmate Johnny Williams (T36415) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On August 16, Inmate Willie Mcknnon (C05908) assaulted an officer by biting them on the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On August 17, Inmate Marcus Miller (T82336) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On August 17, Inmate Randy White (C08816) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception and Medical Center: On August 17, Inmate Jorge Cruz (125004) assaulted an officer by kicking them in the torso. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On August 17, Inmate Kenneth Smith (E51719) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On August 18, Inmate Nevin Marshall (U30075) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On August 18, Inmate Arabi Lazarro (T41769) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On August 18, Inmate Adesh Persaud (I41096) assaulted an officer by striking them in the chest with his head. He then struck another officer in the face and neck. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Liberty Correctional Institution: On August 18, Inmate Terell Tillman (C30160) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On August 19, Inmate Jimmy Schobert (240043) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On August 19, Inmate John San Martin (M53713) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On August 19, Inmate Lashawn Jones (M80577) assaulted an officer by biting their finger. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Annex: On August 20, Inmate Travis Jakubowski (J61244) assaulted officers by striking them in the upper torso with his head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Walton Correctional Institution: On August 20, Inmate Robert Gonzalez (518648) assaulted an officer by striking them with a food tray and grabbing the back of their head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Tallahassee Community Release Center: On August 20, Inmate Anton Brooks (582393) assaulted an officer by slapping their shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Annex: On August 20, Inmate David Shaw (E04577) assaulted an officer by biting their arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On August 21, Inmate Christopher Tipton (W23486) assaulted an officer by striking them in the lip with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Annex: On August 22, Inmate Fernandito Carpio (X81705) assaulted an officer by biting their arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On August 22, Inmate Thomas Bullock (A52064) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On August 22, Inmate Francisco Delafor (487643) assaulted a staff member by striking them on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Annex: On August 22, Inmate Howard Jones (130790) assaulted an officer by pushing them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On August 22, Inmate Michael Johns (H03421) assaulted an officer by grabbing their shirt and arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
