FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC ASSAULT ADVISORIES | November 16 – November 22, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Martin Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, November 22, inmate Sharron Wright (T46397) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the face. The incident was captured on camera.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, November 22, inmate Kelsei Robinson (B81590) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the face three times.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, November 22, inmate Richard Brantley (P37474) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer on the left cheek. The incident was captured on camera.

Florida State Prison: On Wednesday, November 22, inmate Martel Nealey (H51728) assaulted a correctional officer by grabbing the officer’s belt and tugging the belt. The incident was captured on camera.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, November 22, inmate Albert Robinson (J43811) assaulted a correctional officer by grabbing the officer’s hand. The incident was captured on camera.

Central Florida Reception Center: On Tuesday, November 21, inmate Lionel Thompson (R54471) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer on the left cheek. The incident was captured on camera.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On Tuesday, November 21, inmate Shequesta Green (I91687) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On Tuesday, November 21, inmate Lamar Davis (J59410) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On Monday, November 20, inmate Clarence Gullen (X63601) assaulted a correctional officer by swatting the officer’s hand. The incident was captured on camera.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On Monday, November 20, inmate Brandon Brown (J44073) assaulted a correctional officer by puncturing the officer’s left thumb with a homemade weapon. The incident was captured on camera.

Hardee Work Camp: On Monday, November 20, inmate Adrian Rios (H42560) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer on the right side of the face.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On Monday, November 20, inmate Daniel Ponce (A90616) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the lip. The incident was captured on camera.

Union Correctional Institution: On Monday, November 20, inmate Nicholas Fox (R47011) assaulted a correctional officer by kicking the officer’s right leg. The incident was captured on camera.

Columbia Annex: On Sunday, November 19, inmate Bernard Baker (077751) assaulted a correctional officer by grabbing the officer and forcing them to the ground. The incident was captured on camera.

Santa Rosa Annex: On Sunday, November 19, inmate Aurlieas Mcclarty (C02126) assaulted multiple correctional officers by punching and kicking the officers. The incident was captured on camera.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 19, inmate Derrick Allen (J42039) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.

Desoto Annex: On Sunday, November 19, inmate Alberto Guerra (I61590) assaulted two correctional officers by grabbing the correctional officer’s hand and deliberately causing both officers to be pulled forward and get their hands caught in the cuffing port. The incident was captured on camera.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 19, inmate Keith Cain (W25411) assaulted two correctional officers. The incident was captured on camera.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On Saturday, November 18, inmate Kyle Malcolm (W15520) assaulted a correctional officer by pulling away from the officer. The incident was captured on camera.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On Saturday, November 18, inmate Joseph Reverdes (R25971) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the face multiple times.

Homestead Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 17, inmate Samantha Schmidt (E30998) assaulted two correctional officers by kicking and pushing one officer and pushing the other officer.

Lake Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 17, inmate Troy Ballard (V31581) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the right elbow. The incident was captured on camera.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On Friday, November 17, inmate Latonya Harris (K83268) assaulted a correctional officer by elbowing the officer in the face.

Cross City East: On Thursday, November 16, inmate Sean Lorick (B14947) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the face.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On Thursday, November 16, inmate Walter Burks (W36530) assaulted two correctional officers by biting the finger of one officer and pushing the other officer. The incident was captured on camera.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On Thursday, November 16, inmate Raul Rosado (N91865) assaulted a correctional officer and a staff member. The incident was captured on camera.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On Thursday, November 16, inmate Eduardo Vargas (L61184) assaulted a correctional officer by grabbing the officer’s arm. The incident was captured on camera.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On Thursday, November 16, inmate Michael Magwood (S60272) assaulted a correctional officer while being counseled. The incident was captured on camera.
