FDC ASSAULT ADVISORIES | January 11 – January 17, 2024
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Hamilton Correctional Institution: On Tuesday, January 16, inmate Jayjuane Hardy (Y63894) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer’s arm. The incident was captured on camera.
Central Florida Reception Center: On Tuesday, January 16, inmate Kevin Martinez (U61468) assaulted a correctional officer by kicking the officer in the leg. The incident was captured on camera.
Desoto Annex: On Tuesday, January 16, inmate Aaron Hunter (133318) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the neck. The incident was captured on camera.
Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On Monday, January 15, inmate Brandon Knittle (D42394) assaulted a registered nurse by grabbing the nurse’s buttocks.
Apalachee Correctional Institution: On Monday, January 15, inmate Darren Anderson (180766) assaulted a correctional officer by throwing an object at the officer.
Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On Sunday, January 14, inmate Benjamin Gore (V27383) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Century Correctional Institution: On Sunday, January 14, inmate Tiyari Hogan (P36062) assaulted a correctional officer by pushing the officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Columbia Annex: On Saturday, January 13, inmate Gerardo Rosario (C01669) assaulted a correctional officer by pushing the officer.
Florida State Prison: On Friday, January 12, inmate Clinton Mays (Y33851) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Santa Rosa Annex: On Friday, January 12, inmate Randall Spencer (X53824) assaulted multiple correctional officers by kicking the officers. The incident was captured on camera.
Columbia Annex: On Friday, January 12, inmate Willie Lester (S05004) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On Thursday, January 11, inmate Benjamin Whitfield (564338) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On Thursday, January 11, inmate Larrentis Perry (Y57477) assaulted a correctional officer by throwing food at the officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On Thursday, January 11, inmate Myles Pressley (T97810) assaulted multiple correctional officers. The incident was captured on camera.
Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On Thursday, January 11, inmate Adrian Cook (A31992) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer’s hand. The incident was captured on camera.
