FDC ASSAULT ADVISORIES | February 15 – February 21, 2024
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, February 21, Inmate David George (P49504) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Franklin Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, February 21, Inmate Kevin Hylton (165353) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the face. The incident was captured on camera.
Holmes Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, February 21, Inmate Bryant Payne (302684) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the head. The incident was captured on camera.
Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, February 21, Inmate Garlin Whitaker (A22212) assaulted a correctional officer by kicking the officer in the leg. The incident was captured on camera.
Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On Tuesday, February 20, Inmate Garlin Whitaker (A22212) assaulted a correctional officer by kicking the officer in the knee.
Jackson Correctional Institution: On Monday, February 19, Inmate Joshua Bautista (C40283) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Wakulla Annex: On Sunday, February 18, Inmate Dieuseul Cemerant (B16137) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Hardee Correctional Institution: On Sunday, February 18, Inmate James Belton (J00248) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the forearm. The incident was captured on camera.
Florida Women’s Reception Center: On Sunday, February 18, Inmate April Barfield (T49562) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Northwest Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, February 18, Inmate James Porter (B15223) assaulted multiple correctional officers by kicking the officers in the face and leg. The incident was captured on camera.
Wakulla Annex: On Sunday, February 18, Inmate Johnathan Lott (H443833) assaulted a correctional officer by biting the officer’s hands. The incident was captured on camera.
Apalachee Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 17, Inmate Justin Taylor (X97136) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Lowell Annex: On Saturday, February 17, Inmate Maria Baker (154499) assaulted a correctional officer by grabbing the officer’s arms through the door. The incident was captured on camera.
Suwannee Annex: On Friday, February 16, Inmate Devin Roop (C06445) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the eye. The incident was captured on camera.
Lancaster Correctional Institution: On Friday, February 16, Inmate Pierre Jean (B91436) assaulted a correctional officer by slapping the officer in the arm. The incident was captured on camera.
Calhoun Correctional Institution: On Friday, February 16, Inmate Sir Graham (B12756) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Union Correctional Institution: On Thursday, February 15, Inmate Otha Fulton (041935) assaulted a correctional officer.
Century Correctional Institution: On Thursday, February 15, Inmate Jason Moses (128211) assaulted a correctional officer by kicking the officer in the shin. The incident was captured on camera.
