FDC ASSAULT ADVISORIES | February 22 – February 28, 2024
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Martin Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, February 28, Inmate Jimmie Williams (899777) assaulted a correctional officer by grabbing the officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Northwest Florida Reception Center: On Wednesday, February 28, Inmate Duan Freeman (G10439) assaulted a staff member.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, February 28, Inmate Samuel Higgins (U14665) assaulted a correctional officer by headbutting the officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Jackson Correctional Institution: On Wednesday, February 28, Inmate Brandon Whittaker (B81856) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the torso.
Florida Women’s Reception Center: On Tuesday, February 27, Inmate Keviana Dupree (N60611) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On Tuesday, February 27, Inmate Michael Simpkins (D37582) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Okaloosa Work Camp: On Monday, February 26, Inmate Brandon Booker (Q30689) assaulted a correctional officer by pushing the officer.
Polk Correctional Institution: On Monday, February 26, Inmate James Ingram (R06755) assaulted a correctional officer by pushing the officer in the shoulder.
Florida Women’s Reception Center: On Sunday, February 25, Inmate Jonliscia Howard (K42144) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the face. The incident was captured on camera.
Avon Park Work Camp: On Sunday, February 25, Inmate Jeremy Brewer (E22368) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer in the chest. The incident was captured on camera.
Florida State Prison: On Sunday, February 25, Inmate Jonathan Sanchez (T39352) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Columbia Annex: On Saturday, February 24, Inmate John Williams (V21976) assaulted a correctional officer by bending the officer’s fingers. The incident was captured on camera.
Suwannee Annex: On Saturday, February 24, Inmate Thomas Haslom (B03857) assaulted a correctional officer by slapping the officer in the arm. The incident was captured on camera.
Avon Park Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 24, Inmate Albert Hall (190612) assaulted a correctional officer by striking the officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Santa Rosa Annex: On Thursday, February 22, Inmate Randall Spencer (X53824) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On Thursday, February 22, Inmate Marcus Jones (P45564) assaulted a correctional officer. The incident was captured on camera.
Reception and Medical Center: On Thursday, February 22, Inmate James Koezeno (R81384) assaulted a correctional officer by grabbing the officer’s legs. The incident was captured on camera.
