VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | MAY 2 – MAY 8, 2024
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.
Liberty CI: On Sunday, May 5, Visitor Robert Reed was visiting Inmate Robert Walker (126605) when K9 alerted on the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered 1.1 grams of Marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.
Madison CI: On Saturday, May 4, Visitor Mayana Jones was visiting Inmate James Graham (I11657) when K9 alerted on the visitor's vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.
South Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, May 5, Visitor Bridgette Hierrezuelo was visiting Inmate Dominic Cicchini (C91401) when K9 alerted on the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.
Gulf CI: On Saturday, May 4, Visitors Ladashia Johnson and Marianna Padro-Ramirez were visiting Kenneth Gaston (A61505) and Brandon Maybie (J57232) when K9 alerted on the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered electrical tape in both of the visitor's purses, bags and a c-clamp tool to crush narcotics. Staff believes that both visitors were holding narcotics on their person. The visitation was terminated.
Cross City CI: On Sunday, May 5, Visitor Megan Lopez was visiting Inmate Mauricio Avila (U51137) when K9 alerted on the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.
Polk Work Camp: On Saturday, May 4, Visitor Verkesha Strickland was visiting Inmate Ronald Gay (H10625) when K9 alerted on the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.
South Florida Reception Center: On May 5, Visitor Jonas Samson was visiting Inmate William Philone (L23860) when K9 alerted on the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.
Polk CI: On Saturday, May 4, Visitor Josephine Johnson was attempting to visit Inmate Kheavin Floyd (R90591) when K9 alerted on the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.
Cross City CI: On Sunday, May 5, Visitor Gabrielle Nealy was visiting Inmate Tony Patterson (Y82042) when K9 alerted on the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.
Polk CI: On Saturday, May 4, Visitor Azuree Goodloe was visiting Inmate Lawrence Copeland (T24404) when K9 alerted on the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.
Hernando CI: On Sunday, May 5, Visitor Bacardi Turner was visiting Inmate Zachary Smith (J82142) when K9 alerted on the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, a handgun, and nine rounds of ammunition. The visitation was terminated.
