Visitor Contraband Interdiction | September 15 – September 21, 2022

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On September 17, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of a firearm and 16 rounds of ammunition outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On August 18, staff discovered a visitor attempting to conceal a package in the restroom. The package included a cell phone and 12 grams of marijuana. The visitation was terminated.
