Visitor Contraband Interdiction | October 20 – 26 , 2022

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Wakulla Correctional Institution: On October 22, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 5 grams of marijuana,two pieces of paraphernalia , a firearm and 8 rounds of ammunition outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Hamilton Annex: On October 22, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 15 pills of oxycodone outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On October 22, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of a package which contained 34.3 grams of narcotics outside the institution. The visitation was terminated. The visitor were arrested.

Quincy Annex: On October 23, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 289 grams of tobacco and 89 grams of Methamphetamine outside the institution. The visitation was terminated. The visitor were arrested.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On October 23, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 4.5 tablets of methylenedioxymethamphetamine, 20.3 grams of synthetic cathinones , and 33 grams of tobacco outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.
