RAIFORD, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections highlighted the Jacksonville Veterans Treatment Court (JVTC) recent visit to the Union Correction Institution.

The collaboration pairs at-risk veterans in its program with inmate veterans who serve as mentors.

JVTC has partnered with Union Correction Institution's Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter for the past 10 years connecting veterans with service-related mental illness or substance abuse issues who have been arrested with incarcerated veterans.
