Internship Program Admissions

Briefly describe in narrative form important information to assist potential applicants in assessing their likely fit with your program. This description must be consistent with the program's policies on intern selection and practicum and academic preparation requirements:




Academic performance, publications, statement of interest, letters, and references will all be utilized to determine the prospective intern's readiness for internship and goodness-of-fit to the internship environment. Practicum hours, setting, and populations served are important considerations as well. Generally, 400 practicum hours of intervention and assessment are required for successful applications, but inpatient and forensic experience will be taken into consideration. Students from Clinical Psychology programs are likely to be a better match with our program, but applicants from Counseling Psychology who have relevant backgrounds and interests are encouraged to apply.
