After serving as a faculty supervisor from 2011-13 and the Assistant Internship Training Director from 2013-2016 Dr. Culbreath assumed the role as the Director of Internship Training beginning with the 2016-17 internship class. He is a licensed psychologist who has worked in corrections in both the public and private sectors across varying levels of care, at multiple facilities for more than a decade. His experience includes, direct service provision, crisis management, staff recruitment and development, monitoring and evaluating service provision, development and oversight of mental health service delivery systems, extensive patient care, treatment, assessment, evaluation and consultation, and the training and education of mental health staff including licensed professionals, pre-doctoral interns, and postdoctoral residents. His areas of clinical interest are in crisis intervention and psychological assessment particularly the Rorschach.
He received his doctorate from the Florida School of Professional Psychology and was a member of the second class (‘08-‘09) of interns to complete the Florida Department of Corrections internship. After completing the internship, he remained with the Florida Department of Corrections at Zephyrhills Correctional Institution where he completed his post-doc requirements and promoted up through both the State and private systems to arrive at his current leadership position.
Daniele Profilo, Psy.D., received his degree from the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa and is a graduate of the 2016-17 Internship class as well as the 2017-18 class of residents. Following his training in the Department he decided to pursue and accept a position with Centurion of FL to work as the psychologist supervising the outpatient department at ZCI. In this position he was responsible for the oversight, management, and service delivery to male offenders housed at ZCI and also served as the outpatient rotation supervisor for the internship. Beginning in 2021 he was promoted to the position of psychological services director at ZCI where he is responsible for the design, management, and delivery of mental health services to all patients housed at ZCI. He is also a primary supervisor for the Department’s residency program and provides valuable supervision and insight to interns. . Dr. Profilo has particular interests in the area of psychological testing with extensive exposure to neuropsychological assessment and screening.
