Internship President holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in forensics from Argosy University. She has extensive experience with trial consultation and expert witness testimony, as well as being a training instructor for conducting psychosexual evaluation. Her expertise earned her many opportunities as a national speaker on the topic of sexual violence. Her experience includes working as the Psychological Services Director for Florida’s Sexually Violent Predator Program with DCF. Dr. Kline’s work within corrections includes mental health program development/ administration, clinical training, supervision & management at Gadsden CF. She also worked for over two years overseeing the specialized residential Secure Treatment Unit at Wakulla Annex designed to meet the needs of those in a close management status with severe mental illness. As Chief of Mental Health Services, Dr. Kline is responsible for clinical and administrative oversight for the delivery of statewide, comprehensive mental health services.

After serving as a faculty supervisor from 2011-13 and the Assistant Internship Training Director from 2013-2016 Dr. Culbreath assumed the role as the Director of Internship Training beginning with the 2016-17 internship class. He is a licensed psychologist who has worked in corrections in both the public and private sectors across varying levels of care, at multiple facilities for more than a decade. His experience includes, direct service provision, crisis management, staff recruitment and development, monitoring and evaluating service provision, development and oversight of mental health service delivery systems, extensive patient care, treatment, assessment, evaluation and consultation, and the training and education of mental health staff including licensed professionals, pre-doctoral interns, and postdoctoral residents. His areas of clinical interest are in crisis intervention and psychological assessment particularly the Rorschach.

He received his doctorate from the Florida School of Professional Psychology and was a member of the second class (‘08-‘09) of interns to complete the Florida Department of Corrections internship. After completing the internship, he remained with the Florida Department of Corrections at Zephyrhills Correctional Institution where he completed his post-doc requirements and promoted up through both the State and private systems to arrive at his current leadership position.

Daniele Profilo, Psy.D., received his degree from the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa and is a graduate of the 2016-17 Internship class as well as the 2017-18 class of residents. Following his training in the Department he decided to pursue and accept a position with Centurion of FL to work as the psychologist supervising the outpatient department at ZCI. In this position he was responsible for the oversight, management, and service delivery to male offenders housed at ZCI and also served as the outpatient rotation supervisor for the internship. Beginning in 2021 he was promoted to the position of psychological services director at ZCI where he is responsible for the design, management, and delivery of mental health services to all patients housed at ZCI. He is also a primary supervisor for the Department’s residency program and provides valuable supervision and insight to interns. . Dr. Profilo has particular interests in the area of psychological testing with extensive exposure to neuropsychological assessment and screening.

Dr. Perez currently serves as the Psychological Services Director for Lake Correctional Institution. She received her doctorate from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Tampa, completing her internship at Devereux Massachusetts and postdoctoral training within the Florida Department of Corrections. Dr. Perez has experience with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly with varying mental health disorders. She spent several years working with children and adolescents from within the Department of Juvenile Justice, residential settings, and the school systems. Her experience with adults involves court-mandated evaluations within the community mental health facilities and specialized evaluations and therapy within a private practice. She specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and trauma-informed care. Her areas of interest include diagnostic testing, personality pathology, and the treatment of patients who engage in severe self-injurious behaviors.

Stephanie Crawford, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist in the State of Florida who has worked in correctional settings for more than two decades and currently serves as the Assistant Chief of Mental Health. She completed her internship and residency in psychology within the Florida Department of Corrections and has a broad knowledge of the mental health systems within FDC. She has served as a psychologist in inpatient and outpatient settings, as a Psychological Services Director, a Regional Contract Monitor and prior to her current position she was the first psychologist to serve as an Assistant Warden of Mental Health at Suwannee Correctional Institution.

Kathryn Cook, Psy.D., RMHC, Dr. Cook is a licensed psychologist currently serving as the Regional Mental Health Director for Region III for Centurion of FL. She was previously the Psychological Services Director at Florida Women's Reception Center in Ocala, Florida. She completed her doctoral education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and completed both her doctoral internship and postdoctoral residency with the Florida Department of Corrections. She has also trained in juvenile and Federal correctional facilities within Florida, completing psychological assessments and forensic evaluations, individual therapy, and group therapy.

Peggy Watkins-Ferrell, Ph.D., currently serves as the Statewide Director of Mental Health for Centurion of Florida. She is a licensed psychologist with over twenty-five years of professional experience providing and managing behavioral health care services. She trained at DePaul University where she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in their APA-approved clinical psychology program. For the last 18 years she has worked as a psychologist in ever increasingly responsible positions within the field of correctional psychology. Prior positions included serving as the FDC Assistant Director of Mental Health Services, the Region 2 Mental Health Consultant, and as a Senior Psychologist in both inpatient and outpatient settings. During the first 10 years of her career, she worked primarily with children, adolescents, and their families and was the Clinical Director of a program specializing in the treatment of child abuse located in Chicago.

Sara D’Marie, Psy.D., received her graduate degree in clinical psychology from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida, and completed her internship at Montana State University. Following completion of her internship, she began her employment with the Florida Department of Corrections, beginning what has been a 20-year career with the FDOC. She has worked at Union Correctional Institution and Florida State Prison, receiving experience in all aspects of correctional psychology: General Population, Close Management, Crisis Stabilization, Transitional Care, Death Row, and Maximum Management. She was Lead Psychologist at UCI for four years and Psychological Services Director at FSP for 18-months. She is currently the Clinical Mental Health Monitor for Region 2 with the Florida Department of Corrections.

Melissa T. Hurley, Psy.D., received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1993. She completed an APA-accredited internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas, and a residency in Geropsychology at the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. In the subsequent 25 years, Dr. Hurley has practiced psychology in three states and has gained a wide variety of clinical experience, including 12 years of direct service provision, supervision and management in the field of corrections. Most recently, after serving as a Senior Psychologist at Tomoka Correctional Institution for three years, she transitioned in June of 2015 to her current position as the Florida Department of Corrections Office of Health Services Region III and IV Clinical Contract Monitor.

Katy Fabian, M.S., EdS., LMHC, currently serve as the Mental Health Quality Assurance Manager for the Office of Health Services - Mental Health. She previously served as the Mental Health Aftercare and CAP Coordinator in OHS prior to my current position. She came to OHS in 2019 after working as a mental health counselor for over 10 years in multiple FDC institutions and DJJ facilities. She received my master’s degree in counseling from Florida State University in 2008 and have been a licensed mental health counselor since 2011.

Beltran Pages, M.D., is a graduate of the Facultad de Medicina, in Zaragoza, Spain. He has worked in privatized prison healthcare for more than 10 years. Over that time, he has served as a Regional Psychiatric Director and a Clinical Ops Specialist in the field of Psychiatry. He currently serves as the Statewide Psychiatric Director for Centurion of Florida overseeing the psychiatric services at all FDC facilities.
